Bringing the World's Art to Shanghai

Genmei Museum was founded on a simple but powerful belief - that art belongs to everyone, and that Shanghai is one of the world's finest stages on which to celebrate it.

Our collection traces one of the most remarkable stories in the history of art - the journey of porcelain from the imperial kilns of China to the courts of Europe. Assembled over thirty years, it spans five centuries and the greatest names in decorative arts.

We present this story bilingually - in English and Chinese - because we believe it belongs equally to both worlds.
